The Sewing Weekender 2026

The Sewing Weekender 2026

The Sewing Weekender will be taking place on the 27th and 28th June this year. For anyone new to the weekender, it's an online event that provides amazing video content for attendees to watch as they work on a sewing project at home.

EARLYBIRD DISCOUNT APPLIED TO THE TICKET PRICE UNTIL MIDNIGHT ON THE 5TH JUNE.

Sewing sits at the intersection between function and beauty, and a quote by William Morris is the theme for this year's speakers. "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful."

The videos will remain available after the Sewing Weekender and will not expire, so if you aren’t free that weekend, you can still purchase a ticket and enjoy them at your leisure. You will be sent an email after purchase with a link and password to the page with all the content for the weekend.

For the first time this year, there is an exclusive sewing pattern from Sewing Therapy available to purchase with your ticket! The Bridge Bag pattern will have a sew-along video released on the weekend. If you want to buy the PDF pattern, please add this to your order by selecting the 'Sewing Weekender ticket + Bridge Bag PDF pattern' option.

The Speakers:

Sewing Therapy: An exclusive Sewing Therapy PDF pattern can be bought alongside your ticket. If you'd like to sew along with the accompanying Sewing Weekender video, please select the ticket and Bridge Bag PDF option.

Kylie and the Machine: Joy in the details: creative labelling. Labelling but not as you've ever seen it before...

Merchant and Mills: Home: We're getting a video about sewing and styling for the home.

Madswick: Thoughtful making: Maddie is the queen of understated embellishment and will be giving us tips on how to add it to our handmade wardrobes.

Cashmerette: We are in Jenny's very capable hands as she guides us through grading between sizes.

Maison Fauve: Ever wonder how you go about creating a cohesive collection? We get a behind-the-scenes chat with Emilie, taking us from the initial idea to the finished product.

Tessuti Fabrics: Making staples feel special: We love Tessuti's laid-back style, and they are here with some fantastic styling ideas.

Alison Smith: Couture techniques: We can't wait to share some of Alison's incredible knowledge of ways to add longevity to your garments.

Alice and Co: Alice has been wearing some of her handmade wardrobe pieces for over 20 years. Come for a show and tell of some of her most special and prized garments.

The New Craft House: Rosie is going to guide us through picking the perfect fabric for our projects. Getting this correct can transform your sewing experience and the finished piece.

Birgitta Helmersson: Thoughtful scrap busting: Birgitta is going to show us ways we can use leftover scraps to create beautiful texture and finishes for our handmade wardrobes.

Fabric Godmother: Get your ruffle on: We've swooned at the recent ruffle trend, and Josie is going to show us how to add them to patterns you already own.

There will be a virtual goody bag stuffed full of discounts for your favourite shops. We will also have live Zoom sessions for you to meet other makers and chat about what you are making.

We have always given a proportion of ticket sales to charity, and this year we are looking forward to supporting Fine Cell Work, Furnishing Futures, Endometriosis UK, and Little Village.

The email sent to you at 6 am on Saturday, 27th June, will contain the full schedule for the weekend and links to all the video content. All the content for the weekend will be available immediately, so you can dip in and out and watch it as you wish. All the videos will remain available throughout the weekend. The videos will remain available after the Sewing Weekender too, so if you aren’t free on the 27/28th June, you can still purchase a ticket and enjoy the videos at a later date.
